The end of an Era, the begining of another.
Yesterday i handed in my final major project. in my eyes i have actually left uni.
I am pooping my pants.
As is, i imagine everyone.
I'm struggling with making a flash gallery for our website http://whirlygig.me/
So - if anyone knows of any free ones, or if anyones willing to help out, i'd be mega grateful.
BUT i have some other stuff going on (get me):
I think i'm working with Training them live, who are taking over YOG gigs that i've volunteered with for like... 3 years or something. I'll be helping them with the design aspect, i get to work with a real life webdesigner so i wont be held back by my basic knowledge of Dreamweaver.
I'm doing some sketches for a local band called 'Avenge Thee + Naime' for some album\single art, maybe a t-shirt or two, which i am enjoying doing. Let's hope they like and use what i do. :)

#31b the goat pattern - printed onto tote bags.
They can be bought in a shop in Whitstable called 'Pearl and Hemmingway', they come in this grey, and the 'UCA green'.
They might be for sale at our Folksy Store at some point in the near future - so keep an eye out.
You may have also noticed that i've set it as my background - gives you a better idea of what its like on a larger scale. :) I hope you like it, if you do, let me know and i might think about printing it on more things.

#32 Exhibition
The exhibition went up Wednesday morning, we got everything up in a record 5 hours :) Everything went okay, surprisingly things sold and astonishingly people were exclaiming "wow what a bargain..." when we told them the price!
I had a few pieces that were on show and for sale that i havent shown online before, so heres a few:
have realised how much i like Whitstable, and in the future we should definitely concentrate on Whitstable's patronage.
The people of Whitstable are so nice and friendly, approachable, especially the shop keepers, i'm really glad they've got the scheme to help save local independent stores.
Unavoidably there are some left over bits for sale, on the Whirlygig Folksy Shop
But we will be selling some cards and bags that are left over from the exhibition in the shop next door :) (on the left - Pearl and Hemmingway) if you missed it and happen to end up in the area.
You can read more about the exhibition on the Whirlygig Blog :)

#30b another bird in hat and exhibition
i forgot a bird in hat! :(
Poor Bower bird, or Gardener bird - which for some reason i thought he was called, but Attenborough proved me wrong, again!.
Well, the Bower bird to a degree is the bird i thought best suited my personality, like the Bower i like to collect things, pretty things, i am aware that this is pretty common in those who deem themselves creative, but the other girls in my collective have obvious other bird-like traits.
Jane is very wise, so of course would be an Owl - probably wearing a beret, not because she's french, or a pretention arty painter type, or any other obvious stereotype, she just wears dresses in what she likes, (images will follow)
Jenny has to be a seagull, not because of their scavenger behaviour or anything like that - just because she seems to love them. Yes a seagull wearing a Top hat, perhaps an 'Ongina' Top hat.
Louise would be purple, perhaps a Blue Jay or a Purple Martin, but the bird would have to be innocent, bt also a bit energetic/mental, her hat would be probably something like a deer stalker? Something on-trend.
Jacqueline's hat would be something vintage, perhaps a floppy hat, or what i would call a 'Blousy Brown hat', the bird that would represent Jacqueline would have to be anything with a massive breast, like a Magnificent Friggate because in all honestly i dont know Jacqueline that well yet, but i have learnt alot over the last month or so, enough to realise i wish we'd been friends since the first year of uni - the same with all the girls in our collective actually. :)
All these Birds in hats will be visible at our forthcoming Exhibition, details on this lovely poster:

can you tell i'm trying to write more?
