One thing I regret the most. Was not drawing for a year.

#32 Exhibition

The exhibition went up Wednesday morning, we got everything up in a record 5 hours :) Everything went okay, surprisingly things sold and astonishingly people were exclaiming "wow what a bargain..." when we told them the price!

I had a few pieces that were on show and for sale that i havent shown online before, so heres a few:

have realised how much i like Whitstable, and in the future we should definitely concentrate on Whitstable's patronage.

 The people of Whitstable are so nice and friendly, approachable, especially the shop keepers, i'm really glad they've got the scheme to help save local independent stores.

Unavoidably there are some left over bits for sale, on the Whirlygig Folksy Shop
But we will be selling some cards and bags that are left over from the exhibition in the shop next door :) (on the left - Pearl and Hemmingway) if you missed it and happen to end up in the area.

#29 birds in hats

As Whirlygig we are doing our first collective piece - named Birds in Hats - it is a playful topic consisting of us drawing birds in hats. This was Jenny's Idea...

Everyone loves birds -
here are my first few contributions, there will be more to come, AND hopefully a little book for sale :) let me know if you might be interested!

Dartford Warbler in a fetching Baroque wig and Long tailed Bush-tit in that hat who's name i am unaware of :/
if you have any birds you would specifically like to see ina specific hat - let me know and i will give it a go.

#28 mum

Was my mums birthday yesterday, her present hadn't arrived, so i did some drawings...

They're nothing special - mum friendly. might see if i can turn them into mothers day cards.

#27 Guardian Editorial

 A practice mini project set by uni, i really like doing them but always find that i mess up the final illustration. which is dissapointing, as you can imagine. This is probably the best editorial illustration i've done, maybe par GAY Canterbury

Avid fans of the Magic 8 Ball will notice that the illustration is not 100% correct, but i chose to use grey for around the triangle of omnipresence, as it just made the illustration pop out a bit more, especially when attached to the rest of the article.

#26 week two of a little life drawing

Life drawing is amazing, This is Morris, even though i've drawn him a million times, each time is different. I've been drawing him for 3 years now and today he commented on how i have developed. I was touched. :)

#24 yet more cards

#22 a few valentines cards

I'm not a massive fan of Valentines, i've only ever got a handful of cards from boyfriends, and never one from an annonymous sender :( i hate the way they're always a little too cutsey, and i find them a little cringe-worthy. So i tried a few more of my own... i left words out because i think its the words that make me feel uncomforable, and when you're trying to explain how you feel, the words that come pre-printed in a card, often, cant get it 100% right, (this is probably due to watching the film 500 Days of Summer)

Done hardly anything creative over the past fortnight, Dissertation hasbeen to blame... So here are some pages from my sketchbook that i've been trying to keep, drawing at least once a day.

this article  These books kind of started it all? They have been undeniably important to my project, and i reccomend them to any one who is interested in behaviour, especially the strange behaviour executed by the brittish citizen.

I currently designing spring greetings cards, inc valentines, mothers day, and birthdays.

2009 in Self Portraits. I plan on doing a 2010 in Self Portraits also.

I draw myself alot, i don't really have anyone else to draw. I'm always there, and i don't move when i draw myself.
